Introduction

Central nervous system (CNS) diseases enforce a significant global health burden, driving ongoing efforts to improve our understanding and effectiveness of therapy. This issue investigates current advances in the discipline, focusing on the understanding as well as therapeutic handling of various CNS diseases. The issue covers a variety of diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. We evaluate the newest scientific discoveries on the pathogenesis, associated risks, and prospective therapeutic approaches in neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's diseases. Furthermore, we investigate the fundamental mechanisms, diagnostic requirements, and therapy possibilities for neurodevelopmental diseases such as autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This issue focuses on the root causes, diagnostic criteria, and therapeutic choices for neurodevelopmental disorders, providing light on the neurological connections and genetic variables linked to illnesses such as ASD and ADHD. These findings point to possible areas for focused intervention and highlight the need for early detection and diverse treatment methods. Furthermore, the issue looks at the common genetic vulnerability and molecular pathways that exist between neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental illnesses, providing a chance to learn more about their underlying causes. The difficulties associated with diagnosis, therapeutic approaches, and continuing research efforts in these domains are also discussed. This thorough study seeks to increase our understanding of the pathophysiology and management of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental illnesses by integrating existing information. Interdisciplinary techniques, such as genetics, neuroimaging, and translational research, must be integrated to improve diagnosis accuracy and stimulate the development of novel therapies. An attempt will be made to emphasize upon the diet and nutraceuticals in the prevention and management of CNS disorders. Finally, the issue hopes to contribute to the advancement of personalized and focused therapies for those suffering from CNS Disorders and diseases.
