Abstract
New advances in diagnostic technologies in nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceutical development, has led to the introduction of some potent copper-radiopharmaceuticals used in the diagnosis and/or therapy of human diseases. Copper radio nuclides provide a series of therapeutic/diagnostic tracers suitable for radiolabeling of small molecules, peptides, antibody fragments and monoclonal antibodies. The current status of copper radiopharmaceuticals for imaging, therapy and research studies of oncological processes is reviewed here with a look into the future directions as the conclusion.
