Prof. Yu-Dong Zhang now serves as Professor in the School of Informatics, University of Leicester, UK. His research interests include deep learning and medical image analysis. He is a Fellow of IET, and Senior Members of IEEE, IES, and ACM. He was included in “Most Cited Chinese researchers (Computer Science)” by Elsevier from 2014 to 2018. He was the 2019 recipient of “Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher”. He is the author of over 300 peer-reviewed articles, including more than 40 “ESI Highly Cited Papers”, and 3 “ESI Hot Papers”.




Dr. Zhitao Kang is a Senior Research Engineer in Georgia Tech Research Institute and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. His current research interest focuses on optic and electronic materials development, thin film growth and processing, photonic/optoelectronic devices fabrication. He developed and worked on various phosphor and scintillator materials and luminescent nanocrystals for lighting, display, scintillation and biological applications. He has over 100 publications in journals and conference proceedings and holds a few patents.




Dr. Xinying Li is an outstanding scientist in the area of large-capacity long-distance fiber-wireless integration systems and networks. She earned Ph.D. degree from Fudan University and then conducted research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has authored and co-authored 174 peer-reviewed technical journal and international conference papers. She also has made a number of major presentations at recognized conferences including OFC, ECOC, and SPIE Photonics West, and has been a reviewer for several top journals in her field. She now serves as Associate Editor of Recent Patents on Engineering and Digital Communications and Networks.



Zeshui Xu received the Ph.D. degree in management science and engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2003. He is a Distinguished Young Scholar of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Chang Jiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education of China. He is currently a Professor with the Business School, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. He has contributed more than 500 journal articles to professional journals. His current research interests include information fusion, decision making, and fuzzy sets.



Prof. Tounsi Abdelouahed is currently working in the Department of Civil Engineering (Faculty of Technology) at University of Sidi-Bel-Abbes, Algeria. His specialization is in Mathematical Modeling of Mechanical behavior of Composite Structures. Moreover, his research interests lie in the areas of Non-local Elasticity, FEM, Composite Structures, Functionally graded Materials, Nanostructures and Nano-Biology. Prof. Abdelouahed is the editorial board member of 7 renowned scientific journals. He, as an author/co-author, has published more than 200 articles in various journals.





Jinde Cao is a distinguished Professor, the Dean of the Department of Mathematics and the Director of the Research Center for Complex Systems and Network Sciences at Southeast University. From 2001 to 2002, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Automation and Computer-Aided Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. Professor Cao was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, Journal of the Franklin Institute and Neurocomputing. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems, Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, and Neural Networks. He is a Fellow of IEEE, and a Member of the Academy of Europe. He has been named as Highly-Cited Researcher in Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering by Thomson Reuters.




Dr. Clayton obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002. Dr. Clayton is now a Research Team Leader and Fellow of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (Maryland, USA) and an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, College Park. He has served as a visiting scholar at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Columbia University New York, USA. He has published over 60 journal articles and two books dealing with topics in solid mechanics, condensed matter physics, applied mathematics, and materials science.




Dr. Dong received the Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering in 2012 from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. From 2011 to 2012, she was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Information Systems and Computing, Brunel University, London, U.K. From 2012 to 2014, she was an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Duisburg, Germany. She is currently a professor in the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Northeast Petroleum University, Daqing, China. She has published more than 40 papers in refereed international journals. Dr. Dong is serving as a Regional Editor of this journal and an Associate Editor of four international journals, including Systems Science and Control Engineering, Journal of The Franklin Institute, Neurocomputing and Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing.




Dr. Evangelos Sapountzakis is a Civil Engineer, Professor at the Institute of Structural Analysis and Anti-seismic Research of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He obtained diploma from NTUA (1984), MSc and DIC degrees from Imperial College, London (1985), and PhD degree from NTUA (1991). Apart from NTUA, he is also Professor of Structural Analysis at the School of Corps of Engineers of the Hellenic Army and the Hellenic Open University. His published research comprises 105 original papers in the international journals, 143 papers in the international conference proceedings, 12 chapters in books and 5 educational books, while he is the editor of 4 Books or Conference Proceedings. He is the Honorary Editor, Editor-in-Chief, Academic Editor, Regional Editor and Associate Editor of some of the international journals. He has 30 years of extensive experience in the design and analysis of bridge and other large scale structural projects.




Dr. Syed Sohail Akhtar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). His research areas are applied materials, manufacturing, and computational mechanics focusing on a mix of futuristic and present-day research that is of practical significance and has immediate relevance and impact on the industry. He has authored/co-authored more than 100 archival technical publications, including more than 90 ISI journal papers, published 02 books, and many book chapters. He has presented his research at several international conferences as an invited speaker. In collaboration with other research fellows, he worked on more than 20 basic and applied research projects; some of them were internally funded by the KFUPM, while others were funded by agencies like King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) etc. He also served as Co-PI on a KFUPM/MIT collaborative research project related to TBCs. Dr. Akhtar has been awarded the “Excellence in Research” Award 2016 by the College of Engineering, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in recognition of his research achievements.




Dr. Sc. Eng., Ass. Prof. Anatoly Alekseytsev is serving in the Department of Reinforced concrete and Stone Structures, Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Moscow, Russia. His main areas of scientific work are the optimization of load-bearing systems, the assessment of their strength resistance under various types of operational and emergency influences of both natural and man-made factors. He has published more than 70 scientific papers and 2 monographs, devoted to the optimization of bearing systems. The optimization methods and algorithms are implemented in 3 software complexes registered in the prescribed manner. He has been involved in 5 patents for inventions in the field of bearing structures.




Vikrant Bhateja is Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges (SRMGPC), Lucknow and also the Head of Academics & Quality Control in the same college. He is doctorate in Bio-Medical Imaging & Signal Processing and has a total academic teaching experience of 16 years with around 130 publications in reputed international conferences, journals and online book chapter contributions; out of which 18 in SCIE indexed journals. His areas of research include digital image and video processing, computer vision, medical imaging, machine learning, pattern analysis and recognition. Dr. Vikrant has edited around 20 proceeding books/editorial volumes with Springer Nature. He is Editor-in-Chief of IGI Global--International Journal of Natural Computing and Research (IJNCR). He is also associate editor in International Journal of Synthetic Emotions (IJSE) and International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence (IJACI) under IGI Global press. Professor Roman Fediuk is a Full Professor at the Far East Federal University, Vladivostok, Russia. He is listed in "The Stanford list of world's top 2% scientists – 2020". In May 2022, Doctor of Engineering in Construction Materials, from the Belgorod State Technological University n.a. V.G. Shukhov, Russia, with a Thesis entitled: "Cement composite material for special structures". In July 2016, he completed his PhD in Construction Materials from East Siberian State University of Technology and Management, Russia. His thesis entitled: "Increasing the impermeability of fiber-reinforced concrete Recent Patents on Engineering on a composite binder". In June 2003, he completed his Civil Engineering degree from Far Eastern State Technical University, Russia.




Dimitrios A. Karras received his Diploma and M.Sc. as well as his PhD Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 1985 and 1995 respectively. He is Associate Prof. in Digital and Intelligent Systems & Signal Processing, in National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, School of Science, Dept. General as well as adjunct Assoc. Prof. Dr. with the School of Basic Sciences, BIHER University, Chennai, India, as well as with the GLA university, Mathura, India and EPOKA & CIT universities, Computer Engineering Dept., Tirana. He has published more than 70 research refereed journal papers and more than 185 research papers in International refereed scientific Conferences. His research interests span the fields of intelligent & distributed systems, multiagent systems, pattern recognition and computational intelligence, image & signal processing/systems, biomedical systems, communications and networking as well as security and sustainability applications. Dr. Roberto Alonso González Lezcano is a Tenured Professor in the Department of Architecture and Design of the Higher Polytechnic School of San Pablo CEU University, where he is a coordinator of Mechanical Systems area. He has been serving as the university professor in different areas such as Mechanical Systems, Electromechanic and Technology of materials, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Continuum mechanics and theory of structures. He has been the Principal Investigator of the ARIE Group: Architecture, Efficient Installations. CEU San Pablo University. He has conducted a six-year research from the National Committee for the assessment of the Research Action (CNEAI). He has been the coordinator of the master's degree program in Energy Efficiency and Building Installations and coordinator of Mechanical Systems Laboratory in the University San Pablo CEU. He also served as the coordinator of Innovation, Construction and Technology, in the Doctoral Program of Composition, History and Techniques in Architecture and Urbanism. He received the Angel Herrera Award for the best research work in the area of Architecture and Engineering in the year 2020/2021 at CEU San Pablo University. He has published 29 books, 22 of them have been published in the last 5 years.





Dr. Changqing Shen received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in instrument science and technology from the University of Science and Technology of China, in 2009 and 2014, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in systems engineering and engineering management from the City University of Hong Kong, in 2014. He is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Rail Transportation, Soochow University, China. His research interests include machinery data mining, and intelligent fault diagnosis.





Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in underwater acoustic engineering from Naval University of Engineering, Wuhan, China, in 2014. Since 2020, he has been working in the Northwest Normal University, China. He is the author and co-author of about 60 peer-reviewed publications in the area of ocean engineering. Dr. Zhang has been the Session Chair of many International Conferences such as ICCC, ICCT, ICCCS and so on. He is the Youth Editorial Member and Guest Associate Editor for Journal of Electronics & Information Technology and Frontiers in Marine Science, respectively. He is the Lead Guest Editor for International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, Frontiers in Marine Science and Electronics Letters, and is also the Guest Editor for Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing and MDPI Sensors.





Prof. Kai Zhang is an Associate Professor in the College of Urban Construction at Nanjing Tech University. His research interests are in preparation of radiative cooling materials, energy efficiency technologies in buildings, thermal energy systems, and indoor built environment. He is working as PI or Co-PI, his current research projects mainly include (1) Research on the mechanism of radiative cooling and its building integration mechanism; (2) Big data and data acquisition mechanism construction for "Four conversion and one environmental protection" of residential buildings; (3) Research on optimization and integration mechanism of multi-energy complementary building energy system based on supply and demand matching.




PRAVEEN AGARWAL is a professor in the Department of Mathematics, Anand International College of Engineering, Jaipur, India. He has published over 130 articles on special functions and fractional calculus in several leading mathematics journals, such as Applied Mathematics and Computation, the Journal of Nonlinear Science and Applications, and the Journal of Inequalities and Applications. Recently, his research focused on partial differential equations and fractional differential equations. He has been on the editorial boards of a number of journals, including the Maejo International Journal of Science and Technology. He has been involved in various conferences and has also been awarded numerous international research grants, such as the Research in Group by the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences and the World Academy of Sciences Visiting Scientist fellowship.





Tofigh Allahviranloo obtained a B.S. in Mathematics from University of Tabriz, Iran and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Numerical analysis from IAU Science and Research Branch, Tehran Iran. He works at IAU Science and Research Branch in Iran, and has taught at Izmir University, Turkey and was a research professor in UPEI Canada. Prof. Allahviranloo has published 190 papers and 9 books in the areas of Fuzzy numerical analysis, Fuzzy support decision system and the Intelligent decision science. He is the editor in chief of two journals and associate editor of some other journals.




Wojciech Budzianowski is an Associate Professor at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Wrocław, Poland. He received his PhD in chemical engineering with specialty energy (1998) and DSc in mechanical engineering with specialty energy (2014). Involved in consultancies for national and international R&D agencies, various organisations and industries. A specialist in energy, process engineering as well as in innovative business development. Editor (area Bioenergy) on scientific journal Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews (Elsevier). Founder of Renewable Energy Sources - Research and Business (RESRB) conference.




Dr. Capouzucca is Associate Professor of Structural Engineering – Vice Director Dept. DICEA Faculty of Engineering, University Polytechnic of Marche, Ancona, Italy. He is the author of approximately 140 scientific publications in the following main fields of research: masonry structures; damage in reinforced concrete beams; and composite materials in civil structures. He has participation of scientific committees of Conferences and Organizer of sessions. He is member of Int. Council Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) as masonry structure expert in Commission W023 - Wall Structures. He is the elected Convener of Seismic Work Group in 2013 – CIB Commission W023 - Wall Structures and Reviewer and editorial board membe of international scientific journals.




Dr. Selcuk Cebi is currently a Professor of Industrial Engineering at Yildiz Technical University. He received PhD degree from Industrial Engineering Program of Istanbul Technical University in 2010 and MSc from Mechanical Engineering Department of Karadeniz Technical University in 2004. His current research interests are customer oriented product development, decision support systems, multiple criteria decision making, and risk management. He has published more than 40 international journal papers having over 1800 total citations.




Prof. K.W. Chau was awarded the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree with First Class Honours by the University of Hong Kong, the Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree with Distinction by the University of Hong Kong, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree by University of Queensland in Australia. He is currently Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is very active in undertaking research works and the scope of his research interest is very broad, covering numerical flow modeling, water quality modeling, hydrological modeling, knowledge-based system development and artificial intelligence applications. Prof. Chau has published over 160 Science Citation Index journal papers and the total number of non-self-citations is over 7,000.




Chun-Hsien Chen is Associate Professor and Director of the Design Stream in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received his BS degree in Industrial Design from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, MS and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA. He has several years of product design & development experience in the industry. His teaching and research interests are in collaborative/humancentric/ consumer-oriented product design and development, knowledge engineering, design sciences, engineering informatics and artificial intelligence in product/engineering design. He has more than 150 publications in these areas.







Silvia Comani is Associate Professor of Applied Physics and Director of the BIND – Behavioral Imaging and Neural Dynamics Center (www.bindcenter.eu) at the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara (Italy). Prof. Comani is affiliated to the Department of Neuroscience, Imaging and Clinical Sciences of the University “G. d’Annunzio”, and is Scientific Consultant for Translational and Technological Innovation in Neuroscience at a private hospital “Casa di Cura Villa Serena”, Città S. Angelo (Pescara, Italy). Prof. Comani presently coordinates the ANDREA European Project “Active Nanocoated DRy-electrode for Eeg Applications”.




Dr. Dantas holds a Bachelor's degree in chemistry from the Federal University of Ceará (1975), master's degree in organic chemistry for the same UFC (1979), Doctorate third cycle (1981) and “Docteur D’État” in Chemistry (1983), both by the Institut National Polytechnique of Toulouse, France. She is a member of the European Academy of Sciences, arts and literature. She is currently a Voluntary Teacher at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, working in teaching and research. She received the scholarship in research productivity B 1 CNPq and she is a teacher at UNI-RN. She is currently a Counselor of the Federal Council of chemistry and FUNPEC Director. She is a member of the editorial board of the Brazilian Journal of Petroleum and Gas-BJPG. She has experience in the areas of chemical technology and chemistry of natural products, working in the areas of oil, gas and the environment, involving applications of plant oils, surfactant and microemulsioned and nanoemulsioned systems.




Dr. Ioannis Dikaros is a Civil Engineer specialized in Structural Engineering. He holds a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Computational Mechanics (2016), an M.Sc. (Distinction) in Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures (2011) and a Diploma in Civil Engineering (2009) from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. Dr. Dikaros research is focused on the area of computational mechanics, higher-order structural elements and nonlinear structural dynamics. He is a co-author of 11 publications in international journals, of 17 publications as international conference proceedings and 2 chapters in books published by international publishing companies.



Prof. Harijono Djojodihardjo did M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Kentucky in 1964; Mech.E. in 1965, S.M. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in 1966 and Sc.D. in Aerodynamics and Gas Dynamics in 1968, all from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.. He is an Academician at the International Academy of Astronautics since 2008. In 2009, he was appointed as the AIROD Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra. Formerly, he was Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia (2004-2008), and Visiting Professor at Technische Unversitaet Muenchen in (2002. He was the adviser for Aerospace Affairs to the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia in 1998. He has devoted a combined teaching, research, industrial and management experience totaling of 51 years which is a manifestation of his career objectives, strong interest, dedication and commitments in education, science and technology.



Dr. Dourakopoulos obtained diploma in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.) in 2005), M.Sc. in “Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures”from N.T.U.A. in 2007, and PhD in Civil Engineering (N.T.U.A.) in 2009. He is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the University of Patras. He works as a professor in the School of Corps of Engineers of the Hellenic Army and a member of the Coactive Educational Staff of the Hellenic Open University. He has publications in the international journals and in international conference proceedings. He received several fellowships and a prize as well. His research studies are on reinforced concrete, masonry, steel and wood structures.




Dr. Steven Lawrence Fernandes has Postdoctoral Research experience in the area of Deep Learning at The University of Central Florida, USA and The University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. He has received the prestigious US Award from Society for Design and Process Science for his outstanding service contributions and Young Scientist Award by Vision Group on Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, India. His research interests include Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Machine Learning.




Dr Gheorghita (George) Ghinea is a Reader of Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University, UK. His research activities are based on the confluence of Computer Science, Media and Psychology. In particular, his work focuses on the area of perceptual multimedia quality and the end-to-end communication systems, incorporating user perceptual requirements. His area of expertise involves eye-tracking, telemedicine, multi-modal interaction, ubiquitous and mobile computing. He has authored over 250 publications and co-edited two books on Digital Multimedia Perception and Design, and Multiple Sensorial Media Advance and Applications. He is a regular consultant of both public and private institutions within his research area and is currently the lead Brunel investigator of NEWTON.




Dr. Mohammad Gholami received the B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from University of Mazandaran, Babol, Iran in 2008. He also received M.Sc. in Micro Electronic Circuit Design from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2010 and Ph.D. from the Babol Noshirvani University of Technology in 2014. From 2013, he has been a member of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Faculty at the University of Mazandaran. He was part of the scientific and organizing committee of international journals and conferences in the field of circuit design. His current research interests include the design of RFIC integrated circuits, mixed-signal design, VLSI, Digital and Analog Electronics and also digital design by emerging technologies, mainly on QCA. Dr. Gholami, as an author/co-author, has published more than 60 articles in various journals. He has also published 4 books in his field of work.




Dr. Rodrigo Gonçalves is an Associate Professor at the Civil Engineering Department of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon. His research interests lie in the field of steel and steel-concrete composite structures, structural stability and thin-walled beams, focusing on Generalised Beam Theory methods and geometrically exact beam finite elements. He has over 80 publications in Scopus and over 1100 citations.







Dr. Megat Ahmad Kamal Megat Hanafiah is an associate professor of chemistry at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. He received his first degree in Chemistry from RMIT University, Australia and his M.Sc in Environment from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He completed his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Universiti Sains Malaysia. His scientific record comprises more than 50 journal articles, 3149 citations (Scopus), h-index = 18, and a member of editorial board of Recent Innovations in Chemical Engineering. Two of his review articles has been published in Bioresource Technology and Carbohydrate Polymers are listed 'Top 1% Highly Cited Articles in Chemistry' by Clarivate Analytics.




Dr. Wangli He (M’10) received the B.S. degree in information and computing science and Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2005 and 2010, respectively. From 2010 to 2012, she was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the School of Information Science and Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology, China. From 2010 to 2011, she was a Visiting Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Centre for Intelligent and Networked Systems, Central Queensland University, Australia. From 2013 to 2014, she was a Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Hong Kong. From 2014 to 2014, she was a Research Fellow in the Centre for Chaos and Complex Networks at the City University of Hong Kong. From 2015 to 2014, she was a Research Fellow at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Research Institute, Germany.




Dr. Raja Rizwan Hussain is an Associate Professor & Head of Corrosion Lab., CoE-CRT, Civil Engineering Department, College of Engineering, King Saud University, KSA. He received his Ph.D. in 2008 and M.Sc. in 2006 in Civil Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan which is ranked among Top 20 universities in the world. He also completed his Ph.D. from a top ranking university in the world. He is the editor and board member of several ISI-indexed international journals. He has delivered presentations, lectures and has served as invited speaker, distinguished keynote speaker, session chair etc. in more than 50 countries around the world. Dr. Hussain has received more than 100 medals, awards, prizes and distinctions throughout his research, academic and professional career. He has taught more than a dozen subjects to under graduate, M.Sc. and Ph.D students. Dr. Hussain has authored more than 250 research publications including ISI-indexed journal papers, international conference proceedings, edited books, editorials, expos, invention shows and exhibitions, technical reports etc. He is also an inventor of more than a dozen US, WO & KSA international patents. He has secured more than 25 national and international research grants worth millions of US Dollars. He is an active member of more than two dozen international societies, organizations, councils & committees. His research areas of interest lie in steel reinforced concrete technology - materials & structures, especially corrosion.




Dr. Pavol Hvizdoš is a leading scientist in the Slovak Academy of Sciences where he has been working since 1988 in the field of modern structural ceramics. From 2000-2002, he worked at QMUL London, UK, and during 2003-2008 at UPC, Barcelona, Spain. He is a senior scientist, teacher, and student supervisor of 4 PhDs, 13 MSc theses. He is a principal investigator and reviewer of research projects, reviewer of world renowned material science journals, member of several journal editorial boards. He has authored over 200 scientific papers with more than 900 citations (h-index 16), 3 monograph chapters and 3 university textbooks.






Dr. Magdalena Janus is an associate professor at West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin. Dr. Janus has many years of experience in the research area of photocatalysis, photoactive building materials and water and wastewater treatment technologies. Dr. Andreas Kampitsis is a Structural Engineer specializing in Computational Mechanics. He holds a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Computational Mechanics (2014), an M.Sc. (Distinction) in Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures (2011) and a Diploma (Honours 1st) in Civil Engineering (2009) from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. Dr. Kampitsis obtained a post-doctoral Research Fellow from The University of Nottingham, UK (2015-16), holding the Dean of Engineering Award. Currently, he is a Research Associate at Imperial College London, UK. Dr. Kampitsis research is focused on the area of nonlinear structural dynamics and multiscale computational methods for structures and materials.




Dr. Manoj Khandelwal is a Senior Lecturer of Mining Engineering at the Federation University Australia. He did his undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering, a Master’s degree in Rock Mechanics and Ph.D. in Rock Blasting. His main research area is rock mechanics and rock sciences. So far, Dr. Khandelwal has published more than 100 research papers in different reputed national and international journals and conference proceedings of repute. His main research interests and technical expertise are in wind engineering, structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, and computational mechanics. His research in these fields has resulted in over 270 refereed international journal papers. Prof. Li is one of the most cited researchers in civil engineering according to Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2016 by Elsevier. Prof. Li has received several awards for his academic contributions including National Natural Science Foundation of Chinese Outstanding Oversea Scientist Award in 2004 and The First Class Award of the Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education of China in 2010. He was appointed as Cheung Kong Chair Professor by the State Education Ministry of China in 2007. In particular, Prof. Li is the recipient of the 2016 Jack E. Cermak Medal from the American Society of Civil Engineers, the highest honor in wind engineering, in recognition of his many contributions to wind engineering that range from fundamental to applied research.




Professor Ma graduated with BSc in Chemistry and MSc in Polymer Chemistry and Physics, both from Lanzhou University, China. He obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). From 2010 to 2012, he was working in Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden in Germany. Professor Ma joined the Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science (XJIPC-CAS) in May, 2012. Professor Ma has been active in materials with hierarchical structures for engineering and environmental applications. He authored a monograph, 2 book chapters and published more than 40 papers in the broad field of science and engineering. He was a holder of 10 patents, and 3 of them have been transferred to industry. Professor Ma’s other research achievements include two Best Paper Awards in international conferences, Humboldt Research Fellowship, Composites Part A--Editor's Top Reviewer Award 2015, and so on. Francesco Micelli is associate professor of structural design at the University of Salento, Italy. He obtained a Ph.D. in “Composites for Construction” from the University of Lecce, Italy. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Missouri Rolla (USA) and Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil (Ecuador). He has published more than 150 scientific publications and is associate member of Scientific international institutions in the field of civil engineering. He is a reviewer of more than 15 important journals in the field of structural civil engineering and mechanics of materials. He was part of scientific and organizing committee of international conferences in the field of structural engineering, and received awards for published papers in this research field.




Dr. Constantine E. Michailides is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics at Cyprus University of Technology, Cyprus, since July 2017. Dr. Michailides holds a BSc, MSc and PhD in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. His research focuses on global and local numerical analysis of offshore and coastal structures and systems, wave-structure interaction, wave kinematics, hydro-dynamics-elasticity, ocean energy devices and offshore wind turbines. Dr. Michailides has authored/co-authored more than 60 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings in the field of coastal and offshore engineering.




Matteo Alessandro Del Nobile, received the PhD Degree in Material Science from the University of Naples “Federico II”, . He is now working at the University of Foggia as a Full Professor. Dr. Nobile’s main areas of interest include functional foods and food packaging design. This topic has been approached both from a theoretical and from an experimental point of view. He has published over 250 papers on topics related to polymer science and food.



Dr. Aurora Angela Pisano got her M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the School of Engineering, University of Palermo, Italy and obtained Ph.D in Civil Engineering – Structures, from the University of Pavia, Italy. Since 2005, she is an Associate Professor of Solid and Structural Mechanics at the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria, Italy. She is founder member and vice-president of IAdiMe – (International Association on Direct Methods). Her scientific interests mainly involve, Reinforced concretes, Limit analysis of structures and prototypes, Composite Materials, Non-local elasticity, and Structural System Identification. Professor Anjali pal, M. Sc., Ph. D. was graduated from University of Calcutta, India in Chemistry. At present she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Prof. Pal is actively engaged in teaching and research in the field of Environmental Engineering and Science. She has published more than 170 research papers. Prof. Rui PENG obtained his bachelor degree from the University of Science & Technology of China, and Ph. D degree from National University of Singapore. He is now a school professor in School of Economics & Management, Beijing University of Technology. He studied system reliability modelling and optimization and has published more than 50 SCI indexed journal papers on this subject. He is an IEEE senior member and an editorial board member of the Reliability Engineering & System Safety.














Sangram Redkar is an Associate Professor in the School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks at the Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus. He completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University in 2005. Prof. Redkar works on "wicked" problems that are high risk, high reward, and high impact and develop technologies that are transformative, transdisciplinary, use-inspired, and mission-critical. In addition to developing theoretical and mathematical tools to understand and control complex nonlinear systems, he specializes in designing, building, testing, and ruggedizing electro-mechanical/ robotic systems used by military and commercial entities. Specifically, Prof. Redkar and his students have developed techniques for analysis, simulation, and control of time-varying systems (with periodic and/or quasi-periodic coefficients such as Micro-Electro-Mechanical System Gyroscopes in Inertia Measurement Systems ubiquitous in smartphones, smartwatches, and wearable sensors. In addition, he focuses on developing novel techniques for measuring physiological signals via wearable sensors to detect the onset of adverse events such as hypoxia and finally using these physiological signals to control robots designed to improve "quality of life" and "quality of work".



Dr. Rosenberg obtained a B.A. in Mathematics from Oberlin College, and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Operations Research from Stanford University. He works at AT&T Labs in New Jersey, and has taught at Princeton University and New Jersey Institute of Technology. Dr. Rosenberg holds 14 patents and has published in the areas of convex analysis and nonlinearly constrained optimization, computer aided design of integrated circuits and printed wire boards, and telecommunications network design and routing.



Dr Sarafraz received his PhD from University of Adelaide in 2019 and has more than ten years of research experience on Renewable Energy, Micro-reactors, Thermal Sciences and Nanotechnology. Currently, he is an editor in PLOS ONE journal. He has published more than 100 papers in high-impact journals.




Prof. Anil Kumar Sarma is an M.SC. chemistry and Ph.D. in energy from Tezpur University in 2006, with specialization in bioenergy. He worked sometime as a research associate in IIT Guwahati, and visiting researcher at Seikei University, Japan. Prof. Sarma is currently a scientist at Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy, Kapurthala, India and has published many articles on catalysis, biomass resources, biofuel production and applications in IC engines, enzyme and applications, biomass derived catalyst and applications for biofuel synthesis. He has edited a few books and book chapters. He has guided master's and Ph.D. thesis, and 7 postdoctoral fellows. He is a recipient of outstanding research achievement awards (OIRA 2022) from Oxford Research Awards. Recently, he has extended his research horizon to activated carbon production from waste biomass such as corn cobs, carbon conversion to graphene and uses for fuel cell electrode fabrication, super capacitor applications etc.



Raffaele Savino, Ph.D., is a full professor of Aerodynamics at the University of Naples Federico II. He was responsible for several research programs in collaboration with Research Centers, Industries and Space Agencies (ASI, CIRA, ESA, NASA). His memberships include the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA), the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIDAA), the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He is the author of over 220 publications in the fields of Fluid Dynamics, Microgravity and Space Experimentation, Physics of Fluids, Hypersonic Aerodynamics, Heat transfer, Aerospace Propulsion Recent research activities include hypersonic numerical and experimental aerodynamics, aerothermochemistry, innovative heat pipes for ground and space applications, hybrid rocket propulsion.




Dr. Barış Sevim obtained his Ph.D. degree (2010) in Civil Engineering from Karadeniz Technical University, Trabzon, Turkey. Currently, Dr. Sevim is an academician (Assoc. Prof. Dr.) in the Department of Civil Engineering at Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey. His skills and expertise mainly lie in the subject areas of Finite Element Analysis, Structural Analysis, Digital Signal Processing, Finite Element Modeling, Numerical Modeling, Construction, Structural Dynamics, etc. Dr. Sevim, as an author/co-author, has published more than 65 articles in various journals, having over 720 total citations.




His research interests include the inelastic behaviour of reinforced concrete structures, structural design, fiber-reinforced concrete and especially ultra-high strength fiber reinforced concrete, seismic repair and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures especially with new materials (FRPs) and the seismic repair and rehabilitation of monuments.



Prof. Kwanho You, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Minnesota in 2000. He worked as a faculty at Texas A&M University. In 2001, he joined the School of Information and Communication Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University. His primary research interests are nonlinear and optimal control, radio resource management in wireless communication, adaptive optimization methods in nonlinear process, and estimation theory.


Giovanni Vozzi was graduated in Electronic Engineering in 1998 from the University of Pisa. In 2002, he got the PhD in Bioengineering from the Polytechnic of Milan. From 2006 to 2014, he was Assistant Professor of Industrial Bioengineering t in the Department of Ingegneria dell’Informazione of University of Pisa. Actually, he is Associate Professor of Bioengineering in the Department of Ingegneria dell’Informazione at the University of Pisa. He is a member of Directors board of International Society for Biofabrication, of IEEE and of National Group of Bioengineering. His research interests are: 1) development of new micro and nanofabrication techniques; 2) development of bioreactors; 3) mechanical, chemical and cell characterisation of new biomaterials; 4) development of cell models through the fusion of Automatic Controls principles and of cell biochemical reactions.




Guiwu Wei has an MSc and a PhD degree in applied mathematics from SouthWest Petroleum University, Business Administration from school of Economics and Management at SouthWest Jiaotong University, China, respectively. He is a Professor in the School of Business at Sichuan Normal University. He has published more than 100 papers in journals, books and conference proceedings. He has published 1 book and has participated in several scientific committees and serves as a reviewer in a wide range of journals.




Chunchuan (Charles) Xu received his Master degree in Physics from Zhongshan University, Guangzhou, China in 2002, and received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Connecticut in 2007. Dr. Xu joined USi in 2007 as an Electronic Development Engineer. Presently, he holds a position of senior research engineer. Prior to joining USi, he did research in the areas of solid dielectric cables and nonlinear grading materials. Dr. Xu has authored and co-authored numerous papers in these fields. Currently, his research interests are mechanical and thermal property study of Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced cables, development of dynamic line rating systems and wireless intelligent devices, overhead line and underground cable real-time monitoring. He is a senior member of IEEE, and Editorial Board of the Journal, “Recent Patents on Engineering”.






Mauro Zarrelli received his Master degree cum Laude in Material Engineering from the University of Naples in 1998 and his PhD degree in Advanced Materials at Cranfield University in 2004. He was assistant researcher in the School of industrial and Manufacturing Science at Cranfield University from 1998 to 2002, working on thermo-chemo characterization of novel polymer composite matrix for aerospace application and he received an AUDI Foundation grant (2001) as young researcher for the development of new holder jig to measure mechanical modulus during the polymerization reaction of modified thermosetting matrix system.




Dr. Jie Zhang received his Ph.D. in 2016, and he is a visiting scholar at the University of Alberta. He is an associate professor in the School of Mechatronic Engineering, Southwest Petroleum University. He won two prizes for scientific and technological progress in Sichuan Province. He has published three monographs, more than 50 papers, including 30 SCI papers, and 14 EI papers. He applied for more than 10 China invention patents. He is a reviewer of 20 SCI journals.




Professor Guoliang Zhang received SM (1991) in Biochemical Engineering from Tianjin University and PhD (2007) in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Zhejiang University. He joined 2nd Institute of Oceanography and Research & Development Center of Water Treatment Technology, State Oceanic Administration (SOA) as Senior Engineer and Director of Department of Technology during 1991-2003. In 1999, he was promoted to be Research Fellow and Senior Engineer of Professorship. He won the 2nd Grade Award for the State Science & Technology Award of Oceanography in 2000. He moved to Zhejiang University of Technology as a full professor on Biological & Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Material Science.




Dr. ZhaoWei Zhong (Z.W. Zhong) has over 20 years’ of research and development experience in Japan and Singapore. He teaches Ultraprecision & Micromachining Processes, Advanced Metrology and Sensing Systems, and Theory of Mechanisms in the School of MAE, NTU, Singapore. He has published over 460 journals and conference papers, books and book chapters. His Hirsch Index in Oct 2016 was 32 (SCI) or 33 (Scopus) with total citations over 3500 (SCI) and 3700 (Scopus). Dr. Jesse Zhu is a Distinguished University Professor and Canada Research Chair in Chemical Engineering, at Western University. Dr. Zhu has many years of experience in the research area of powder handling, fluidized bed and multi-phase flow systems and has worked on a very wide range of R&D projects, many from the industry. In addition to fundamental research, he is particularly active in technology development and transfer, with several inventions commercialized or being commercialized. He is a Fellow of Royal Society of Canada and has received many awards including the highest career award from the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering.




Dr. Anastasios I. Zouboulis is a full professor of Chemical & Environmental Technology, Department of Chemistry, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki (GR) since 2007. He is performing research in the field of water and wastewater treatment technologies, including Environmental Biotechnology, wastewater management, reclamation and reuse, as well as in industrial toxic solid wastes stabilization and/or recovery/reuse. Dr. Seongah Chin is a full professor, director of virtual reality and visual computing laboratory named XICOM LAB. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1999. Dr. Chin’s research interests include virtual reality, physically-based material rendering, human computer interaction, computer graphics, facial expression and computer vision. He has published more than 135 leading academic journals and conference papers. His research outcomes have been achieved through more than 21 projects which are mainly supported by the funding from IITP, NRF, KOSEF, SMBA, MOCIE and KOFAC. Saad Motahhir is an a member of IEEE. He has expertise in the industry as Embedded System Engineer at Zodiac Aerospace morocco from 2014 to 2019. He recently became a professor at ENSA, SMBA University, Fez, Morocco in 2019. He received the engineering degree in embedded system from ENSA Fez in 2014. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from SMBA University in 2018. He has published a good number of papers in journals and conferences in the last few years, most of which are related to photovoltaic (PV) solar energy and Embedded Systems. Jinqiang Ning received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Professor Waled M. El-Senously is a professor of Virology and head of the Environmental Virology Lab., Water Pollution Research Department, Environmental Research Division, National Research Centre (NRC) in Cairo. He has been the head of Food-Borne Viruses Group, Centre of Excellence for Advanced Sciences, National Research Centre.
